A Word from Our CEO

Amplifying Good in Challenging Times

At the E N Hunter Family Foundation, our mission is simple but powerful: to help others do well. At the Foundation, we believe that when students thrive, communities flourish. That’s why much of our focus has been on providing financial support to current students. But we go further by partnering with organizations that share our commitment to equity, education, and opportunity. For example, our GAP Scholarship is a partnership with Calumet College of  St. Joseph, and we have sought to work with other colleges for our Degrees Matter Campaign. Even before starting this endeavor my family and I have volunteered in various organizations that share our values because collaboration is important, now more than ever.

In a time when division seems louder than unity, and support for underprivileged communities is increasingly under threat, collaboration is not just strategic—it’s essential. By joining forces with like-minded schools, nonprofits, and community groups, we amplify their impact and extend our reach. Through our work at the Foundation - as well as our volunteer efforts - we’re not just funding futures; we’re building networks of care, resilience, and hope. We see partnership as a force multiplier. It’s how we turn generosity into transformation.

Last but certainly not least, we are thankful for the partnership of our donors. Very soon, we will launch our own general scholarship to help current college students to continue their education in the face of rising costs and diminishing aid. Your continued generosity and encouragement is a critical part of our efforts to help others do well.
